WE ARE HB MOBILE

Hope Bay Technologies, Inc. provides cloud-computing solutions to businesses and individuals worldwide. This includes front- and back-end software and hardware, storage, data center, power, and energy management applications, and other cloud services. HB Mobile Inc., founded in January 2016 as a division of Hope Bay Technologies, focuses solely on developing cloud storage solutions for mobile devices. HB Mobile’s first product, Tera, is a seamless cloud memory extension for smartphones running Android OS.

With a love for learning that began in his childhood, Ben maintains a strong sense of curiosity, which pushes him to think beyond the boundaries of standard education. As a young fourth-grader, Ben began drawing rocket pipeline diagrams and designing card games for his classmates. By the time Ben reached junior high school, he was teaching his physics class about transistors. 

Now, Ben has a knack for uncovering simple truths and is skilled at turning complexity into simplicity. At Google, he helped save tens of millions of dollars annually by improving server power efficiency. After returning to Taiwan, Ben founded Hope Bay Group, a company that attracts and cultivates top software talents in Taiwan.  [linkedin profile]

SIMON YEH

Chief Executive Officer

Simon’s extensive interdisciplinary knowledge and exceptional leadership skills allow him to excel in any area he pursues, be it cloud computing software or litigation in his first job as a prosecutor. 

Eight years after drafting Chapter 36, “Cyber Crime Act”, of Taiwan Criminal Law, Simon became the Trust and Safety Director at eBay, thus entering the electronic business world. He also served as Chief Operating Officer at Ruten Auction, CEO at Air Camel, and General Manager of MyBenefit. At this stage in his career, Simon has decided to take a detour to devote his work to what he finds most interesting: the high-tech industry.  [linkedin profile]

WILLIAM LIANG

Chief Technology Officer

William has a solid theoretical foundation along with rich industry experience. In Taiwan, he is a pioneer in open source system software and core technologies of operating systems such as Linux, Android, and Firefox OS.

JIAHONG WU

Chief System Architect

After receiving a PhD in Artificial Intelligence at Purdue University, Jiahong returned to Taiwan to join Hope Bay Group. He has been dedicated to the field of cloud computing for over a decade. As one of the most respected experts in this field, he is the heart and soul of Tera.
